Peter Bogdanovich - the loss of a cinema titan

Peter Bogdanovich was an incredible force in the world of cinema. Never shy of expressing his own vision, he was a master storyteller and actor who often disagreed with his contemporaries (Spielberg, Coppola, Scorsese many of whom he tried to work with but with whom he couldn’t find common ground) and championed the filmmakers who came before him (Hitchcock, Fritz Lang, John Ford, Orson Welles, Howard Hawks et al.) He influenced Wes Anderson, Tarantino and Noah Baumbach. Definitely suggest watching The Last Picture Show, Paper Moon and Saint Jack.
